Anthony Robles

Anthony was born with only one leg. At a young age Anthony learned how to get around without the use of a prosthetic. He excelled at physical endeavors because of the upper body strength he developed from using his crutches. In 8th grade, Anthony joined the wrestling team where he put his strength and determination to good use. In High school, he went on to win two Arizona State wrestling championships, going 46-0 in both his junior and senior years at Mesa High School, in Mesa, Arizona. Robles started his collegiate wrestling career in 2007-08, where he was nationally ranked. He achieved many awards in his college career. He finished his final year of eligibility (2010-11) with an undefeated record of 36-0 and won the NCAA wrestling championship title.
Anthony still gets around with the use of crutches but realizing the long term wear on his body, Anthony is seeking out prosthetics. Recently, Anthony was denied a prosthetic leg by his insurance company. Wiggle Your Toes and Otto Bock are partnering to fit Anthony with a prosthetic Helix hip, C-let and foot. Anthony is a determined young man with a goal of becoming a motivational speaker. He is also nominated for the prestigious ESPY award in 3 different categories! He will be attending the ESPY awards with his mother in July.
WYT's wish is to see Anthony walk to the podium in the near future!
