The strep A virus that overtook Paul’s body caused the amputation of both legs above the knee, as well as a finger and the tip of his nose. After months of intensive care, rehab and recovery, he received C-legs but was never able to walk. He was later fitted by a specialist who rebuilt Paul’s sockets and adjusted his prosthetics so that he could walk confidently and comfortably. Paul is now walking more every day.
